Recent events for the coolidge ffa

Coolidge FFA Hosted the Annual South Central Region LDE Day. Members competed across 6 different competitions. Coolidge placed 1st in Agriculture Issues, 1st in Marketing Plan, 1st in Information, 2nd in Novice Extemporaneous Public Speaking, 2nd in Agriculture Issues

Coolidge FFA had 2 teams qualify as national finalists for the MicroTank competition. FFA members within this contest were tasked with starting their own microgreens based businesses and growing their crops hydroponically. AZ Microgreens consisted of Avery Garcia and Zaedee Volk while Sweet Greens Dog Chips consisted of Estrella Elazarraz, Divine Saldana, Sophie Fronek and Delilah Ornelas.

Coolidge FFA members exhibit their projects at the 3rd annual Skousen Memorial Show Day. Included in this years event was a plant and merchandise sale as well as a floriculture workshop for attendants.

Coolidge FFA members participated in Agriculture Career Tours across Arizona. Members selected either the Animal Systems, Plant Systems, or Agriculture Mechanics Pathway and learned more about their respective pathways from industry professionals and leaders.

Coolidge FFA had 12 teams and over forty members compete in Career Development Events at the University of Arizona. Competitions ranged from Mechanics, Meat Evaluation, Livestock Evaluation and more! Molly Tucker placed 5th in the Job interview competition. We also had the 5th Place Entomology Team, the 8th Place Greenhand ToolID Team, the 10th Place Meat Evaluation Team and the 10th Place Agriculture Sales Team.

Coolidge FFA submitted our annual national chapter application and was awarded Silver Recognition.
